Protective Coatings
Whatever your Application, we have a wide variety of Systems to fit your Time and Cost perameters.
The main purpose of protective coatings is to provide protection to the slab from deterioration or contamination, or to provide some added benefit such as aesthetics, wear, non-skid, chemical resistance, ease of maintenance, physical performance, etc. No other surface in a building takes more abuse than floors, industrial or commercial.
Rapid Cure Systems
Chemical Resistant Coatings
Moisture Vapor Control
USDA Compliant
For time-sensitive projects we can provide a variety of coatings from fast-set to snap-set.
Concrete moisture and alkalinity are the leading causes of most modern floor covering/coatings failures with high dollar cost in damages, down-time and repairs. True Champions installs high-performance systems that reduce the moisture coming through the concrete.
We install a range of industrial flooring coatings from neutral PH to high caustic solutions that are typically used for surface protection. This treatment protects the existing substrate so that it can hold up to harmful acids, oils, solvents, abrasive materials, and cleaning solutions which tend to cause erosion on concrete floors.
Champion Coatings installs floor coating designed and approved specifically for the food and pharmaceutical industries. These industries have specific and serious concerns about cleanliness, corrosion, and bacterial/ pathogen growth. We install seamless floors that are ideal for wet surfaces, are steam-cleanable, anti-microbial, anti-skid, and suitable for heavy-duty use.

A WIDE RANGE OF SYSTEMS FOR DIFFERENT APPLICATIONS
Epoxy
Highlights of Epoxy include: cost effective, easy to clean, chemical resistant, seamless, 100% solids. Available in clear and pigmented. Epoxy or polyepoxide is a thermosetting polymer formed from reaction of an epoxide ”resin” with polyamine ”hardener.” Epoxy has a wide range of applications, including fiber-reinforced plastic materials and general purpose adhesives.
Quartz & Flake
This industrial flooring material is primarily used in commercial/retail facilities, both Quartz and Flake floors are durable, easy to clean, and attractive making them a good alternative to expensive decorative floors like Terrazzo and Tile.
Polyurethane Topcoat
Available in both solvent and water-based, Polyurethane provides a seamless high-gloss seal with excellent resistance to abrasion and chemicals as well as excellent UV stability.
Urethane Concrete
Urethane Concrete is installed as a thick overlay material suitable for almost any environment, but mostly used in the food production industry. This floor coating is very durable and impact resistant, and will withstand high abrasion, high temperatures, and constant saturation in liquids.
MMA/Methyl Methacrylate
A versatile, rapid application and cure coating, MMA is completely cured and can support surface traffic in 45 minutes. MMA is UV resistant, can be installed in cold temperatures, and is chemical resistant.
Terrazzo
This is one decorative floor coating solution, Terrazzo flooring is made with exposed marble chips, high-end aggregates, or glass on the surface of finished concrete or epoxy resin.
Polyurea
The main advantages of Polyurea are its quick cure time, its flexibility, and it will cure at extremely cold temperatures. Good for rigid joint filling.
ESD/ Electrostatic Dissipative
In industries where electronic components or volatile chemicals are involved, static electricity can result in significant damage, injury and financial loss. Even when people are equipped to handle static-sensitive devices, inadvertent contact can occur. Champion Coatings’ ESD floor coating, wall and ceiling coatings and toppings can tie your entire ESD system together. We install the most comprehensive ESD coating lines in the industry, and we can design a floor system to meet your specific needs. The ESD products we install significantly outperform the competition, generate a maximum Body Voltage Generation of 15 volts, and have consistent readings regardless of relative humidity.
Elastomeric Membrane
Elastomer exhibits excellent elongation properties along with high tensile strength and tear resistance to make it an ideal crack resistant membrane. This flexible coating is waterproof, slip-resistant, sound absorbent, durable, and used for slabs that show movement or vibration.
Moisture Vapor Emission Testing
This calcium chloride vapor test quantifies the amount of moisture vapor emitting from a surface so that we can determine the appropriate protection system for the slab. ASTM has published a standard for the use of calcium chloride to measure moisture vapor emission from concrete. Thoughtful design and placement of concrete may reduce or eliminate problematic conditions, but all concrete will have a constituent vapor emission for the life of the slab. Proactively testing the concrete prior to the installation of flooring may prevent the considerable losses attributed to excessive moisture vapor emission and related floor covering system failure.
